One-off Civic Cup return with Area Motorsport at Oulton Park

Rounds five and six of the 2023 season will take place at Oulton Park in Cheshire on Saturday 10^th June, on the Island Layout. Coomer is already familiar with the circuit from previous racing adventures, which began back in 2014 in club-level motorsport.

In fact, the Lancashire-based driver almost secured the 2016 Civic Cup title, back when there was a split class structure and cars were running to a 1.6-litre formula.

Racing against the likes of David Buky and Ben Sharpe, Coomer will be back in familiar company this weekend with Buky racing on track and Sharpe running his own team this season.

Performance Brake Solutions Limited was set up from Coomer’s love of Motorsport back in 2015 and is now a global provider of racing brakes to many championships, including both the Milltek Sport Civic Cup and the TCR UK Touring Car Championship.

Looking ahead to rounds five and six this weekend, the Area Motorsport driver is keen to do well at the Cheshire track, knowing that he is in a very competitive field this year.

“I like to be able to go racing once in a while and it’s great to have the chance to get onto the Civic Cup grid at Oulton Park this weekend. Having seen the first two weekends of racing, it’s clear that the level of driver ability and competitiveness has been raised,” said Chris.

“Performance Brake Solutions Limited was born from my love of Motorsport and we are proud to be supporting both the Civic Cup and TCR UK once more. I’d love to aim for a top-ten finish in race one, to set up a dream pole position in race two, however, I know I’ll have a fight on my hands. I’m very excited to go racing once more!”

The Milltek Sport Civic Cup is back in action on Saturday 10th June, where rounds 5 & 6 will take place at Oulton Park in Cheshire, using the Island layout.
